Scan To BIM London

A Laser Scan survey and Revit 2017 drawup of a mixed use commercial property in Paddington, Central London. The site was scanned over two days within normal business hours to minimise disruption to tenants. We used fixed position terrestrial laser scanners and were able to issue the registered pointcloud a few days after the survey.

We have been producing Scan To BIM for almost 10 years and have a expansive knowledge of the process and applications of laser scanning. We aim to deliver a cost effective service with quality models and quick turnaround.

Revit 2017

All the elements that you can see on the facade are custom made families. From the accurate pediments and pilasters to the sash windows themselves everything has been measured from the pointcloud survey. Families (equivalent to blocks in AutoCAD) are then procedurally modelled to ensure no bloatware, unnecessary parameters, pointless materials etc that can come with OOTB families or those downloaded from manufacturers websites. Our Revit families are designed to be clean, geometrically representative and lightweight so you get a well built, well considered and easy to use Revit model.
